Description of organisation

The department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Robert Debré hospital in Paris is related to the Paris VII Lariboisière-Saint Louis University and to INSERM, both leading structures in medical research. As all Parisian university hospitals, the Robert Debré hospital belongs to the Assistance-Publique, the most important hospital consortium in France. It is entirely dedicated to pediatric care and offers specialized and emergency care for a large population (mainly north of Paris and region Ile de France).

The Child and Adolescent department, headed by Professor Marie Christine Mouren has extensive experience in pediatric clinical trials and psychopharmacology in children and adolescents. The department has two inpatient units (each of 12 beds), one evaluation unit for preschoolers, one evaluation unit for autistic disorders and several specialized outpatient facilities (learning disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, autism). An outpatient care unit is attached to the department for psychiatric community care for the XXth arrondissement of Paris.
